A COMIGO foi fundada em Rio Verde-Goiás por 50 produtores rurais do Sudoeste goiano que estavam dispostos a mudar o perfil da agropecuária regional, instituindo novos conceitos de produção e de comercialização. Incentivou o uso de insumos modernos, de tecnologias inovadoras, instalou um grande sistema armazenador e partiu para a transformação de matérias-primas.
